WINDERMERE WAY PARK

Public BBQ

Tucked into the tidy suburban streets of Sippy Downs, Windermere Way Park offers a refreshingly unpretentious slice of outdoor life. The barbecue facilities sit in companionable arrangement with picnic tables, creating the sort of no-nonsense setup that actually gets used rather than merely admired. This newer residential area has managed something rather clever – providing genuine community spaces without the overwrought landscaping that plagues so many modern developments. The park's modest scale works in its favour, offering families a proper spot for a weekend barbie without the crowds that descend upon the coast's more celebrated locations. It's the kind of place where locals can fire up the hotplate, spread out lunch, and enjoy the Sunshine Coast hinterland's gentle climate in pleasantly unremarkable surroundings.
